-
Place you in the directory where you want to
create the directory nls2C.
You should have the write permission on this directory.
-
Transfer the tar-archive, nls2C_2003.1.tar.gz
-
Uncompress the tar-archive
by gunzip, then untar it by tar xf.
This creates a directory called nls2C.
-
Place you in this new directory and type:
cd nls2C
-
Execute the shell-script INSTALL:
./INSTALL <nls2-pathname>
nls2-pathname should be the
pathname of nls2
on your site.
(Remember: The libraries of nls2
should have been installed previously).
For example:
./INSTALL /usr/lib/R/library/nls2
-
Verify the installation:
Tests are automatically executed by the script INSTALL
and their results are stored in files suffixed by
.output in the directory examples.
So, to see if they have been executed without any fatal error,
type:
grep "Fatal error" examples/*.output
-
Customize the user environnement:
-
to access the commands which generate the C-programs,
insert in the default command-path-list
<nls2C-pathname>/user
-
Helps are available in HTML format, in the subdirectory
html.
